This exhibition in BLUE welcomes the start of the summer season on Cape Cod. This fall will mark twenty-three years the group has spent a week working together on the banks of the Pamet River in Truro, MA. Last year the group did not convene due to COVID-19, so that was another sense of “BLUE”. There is a celebratory feeling showing
in these works as the group anticipates being together again.

"This beautiful place called Cape Cod is such an inspiration for me. I see shapes and colors in the ponds, the marshes, the bogs, the cedar swamps, the ocean and the bays. A small painting or drawing done on site becomes the impetus for the large colorful abstract oil paintings created in my studio. Pushing even further with simplifying and emphasizing
the geometric design elements has lead to the latests series of oil paintings where much is blocked out or removed by covering over unnecessary elements. This series is being shown for the first time in Constant / Changes at the Sigel Gallery at the Falmouth Art Center.
